I’ll be like your in-house designer but at a fraction of the price. By agreeing to work together on a long-term basis, I become your design consigliere.

Is a retainer service right for you?

If your communication design needs vary throughout the year, arise unexpectedly, or you have ongoing needs for design services that don’t require having a designer on staff, a creative retainer might be the perfect solution for your business.
Additionally, if we’ve already worked together on branding or marketing services and you want to continue working together to keep your materials polished and updated, this is a great way to standardize your investment while ensuring you receive high quality materials.

What is the creative retainer and what are the benefits?
    A 12-month agreement between your business and ours that allows you to contract for as few as 5 hours of service per month
    Guaranteed amount of prioritized service time
    Discounted design rates – the more hours you commit to, the lower your hourly rate is.
    Virtual Creative Department at your service
    No agreements to sign for each individual project and no per project cost – avoid the need to seek estimates, manage multiple contracts, and pay multiple invoices
    Stable, predictable monthly budget
What services are not included?

A creative retainer does not cover expenses like printing, stock photography licensing, and subcontractor fees. I will consult with you before beginning work to identify any fees or costs that may be billed in addition to your creative retainer agreement.

How does billing work?
    In our project management software, I’ll keep a running tally that includes how much time is spent on each project and how much time is remaining for that month.
    You can roll unused hours into the following month. Rollover hours expire at the end of the second month. In the last month of the agreement, unused hours are forfeited. Hours in excess of the monthly agreement are billed at the retainer rate.
    You create your package by choosing the number of monthly design hours. We offer packages ranging from 5 hours to 30 hours per month at a rate of $75.00 per hour.

Hiring Meg to create the design elements for my blog and content marketing is one of the best business decisions I’ve made! I’ve worked with designers before, but it never seemed cost effective to hire someone for blog images and Facebook images — especially because it seemed like those were things I “should” be able to do. Meg makes it so easy and affordable, it’s an absolute no brainer.
Plus, even though my business usually just needs images to support my blog posts, I love having a designer on my team who knows my brand and can help out with other projects like worksheets and business cards. As a professional ghostblogger, I understand exactly how FREEING it can be to outsource those tasks that aren’t in your zone of genius. Meg frees me up to spend more time in mine.
